AuraGateway contains an
extensive modeling section where the user can define adjacent satellite
networks into Scenarios in as much depth as is needed.
The first
observation that users will make is the similarity to the Main Network
screen in AuraGateway.
The essence of the adjacent satellite interference
analysis capability is to model adjacent satellite systems as nearly as
possible. This means that any assumptions about antenna sizes and transmit
powers should be logically reflected in sensible link budgets. AuraGateway
allows the user to validate that premise.
The main screen in the Scenario Section is shown below. Note that a
link analysis has been run within the Scenario and is shown in the panel
to the right side of that screen.
While not formally required for an adjacent satellite interference
analysis, the link analysis capability allows the user to model with the
certainty that transmit power levels, carrier bandwidths, etc. are
reasonable and consistent with a well designed network architecture.
