Link Analysis
| Link Analysis, also called Link
Budget Analysis, establishes when earth stations can communicate with
other earth stations through a satellite. It allows the size of earth
station antennas and associated low noise converters to be properly sized.
The effects of Microwave Interference, Adjacent Satellite Interference,
Transponder Intermodulation, and other Impairments can be evaluated.
The insight provided by link analysis allows informed decisions
regarding site selection, which satellites to use, etc.
In short, Link Analysis has
to be done right. It has to be done in a flexible way that allows the user
to input parameters that are available to calculate those which are not.

| Key Elements of AuraGateway Link Analysis |
 | The link analysis capabilities within AuraGateway are exceedingly flexible and very user friendly. |
 | Alternative starting point and objectives are user selectable:
1.
Specify the EIRP at the satellite, and work down
2.
Specify the Transmit Power at the Uplink and work through the link to
the Signal performance at the downlink
3.
Specify the Required Eb/No (digital) or S/N (analog) and work backword through the link |
A formatted link analysis report is generated by the press of a button.
The report can be printed or exported.
The contents of each report are available in an Access Database Table for those who prefer to design their own Link Analysis Report.
